Isabella Manfredi is a San Francisco based artist and designer, drawing inspiration from fossilized and decayed items such as a shell, a dead butterfly, or her grandpa’s hammer. She translates her digital images of these objects into succinct collections that each encapsulate a memory or feeling. Manfredi designs clothing that plays with the balance of the feminine and masculine; clothing that can be labored in, danced in, worn to a coffee shop, anywhere from the
city to the country.

Sewing since a young age, Manfredi started screen printing on fabric in 2016 with one little screen in the painting studio while getting her BA at UC Berkeley. After graduating, she kept designing, printing and sewing all her work in her San Francisco studio. In 2024, she started working with a small screen-printed textile company in San Francisco called Cloth Editions to produce her designs on a larger scale. In 2026, she started working with a small factory in SF and LA. Each step towards larger scale production is heavily considered by Manfredi, she
prioritizes slow growth, and authenticity is deeply woven into her garments.

Her fine art practice is in close conversation with the themes within her clothing line. Her artwork similarly questions the constantly wavering delineation between utilitarian objects and high art.
