Claw Incense Holder

Cast in brass, the Claw Incense Holder takes its shape from a talon that has meant something different in every hand it has passed through. In Slavic folklore, Baba Yaga’s hut stands on chicken legs, a home that can walk away from you or toward you, depending on what you deserve. In Southern folk magic, a chicken foot is carried for protection, or buried for the opposite. In Chinese cuisine, the same foot is called a phoenix claw—a delicacy, a small luxury pulled from something that spent its life scratching the ground for scraps.

A claw has never meant just one thing. This one holds fire and lets the smoke decide what it means to you.
